Registry key for connection passwords

    The key containing the password is located in:

    32bit Windows:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABConsulting\AB Tutor\Data

    64bit Windows:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ABConsulting\AB Tutor\Data

    The Key actually containing the password is called “ z6 ” so look for that in the directory.

    Just to clarify the steps:

    On a Client machine with the correct password set. Go to the registry (Run REGEDIT). Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABConsulting\AB Tutor\Data”. Check for “ z6 ” registry key. Right-Click the “Data” folder and Click “Export”. Save this file. Distribute and run this file on each client required. This should set those clients to your desired password.

    Go to http://abtutor.com/tools/settings_xml , click on choose file



    C:\ProgramData\ABTutor\Tutor and select ABTutor XML document and click on Decrypt after that you will see your connection password decrypted.
